At St. John's Episcopal Church in New Rochelle, we took an intensive year-long journey with a close eye to the benefits and trappings of all that constitutes the Sunday liturgy in the Episcopal tradition, and we came to some startling and transformative conclusions that have changed the way we worship God and the way we view one another As neighbors, as friends, and as a Christian community. This paper speaks about the language we use for God, what works, what hurts, what heals, what stagnates faith, and what for one community, makes God real
